There are many options available when considering ordering bespoke gift boxes. Two-piece or hinged lid gift boxes? Printed or unprinted gift boxes? Lined or unlined gift boxes? With or without insert? White or coloured? Textured or smooth finish? Matt or gloss finish? There are many choices available and our aim is to fully understand your requirement and work with you to develop your ideas so you obtain the exact gift box design you set out to find.

We have included some points you may wish to consider below:

Quantity - The majority of manufacturers will specify a minimum quantity on orders for bespoke gift boxes. Twinklepeeps can accommodate orders of smaller quantities of at least 50 gift boxes depending on the type of gift box required. However, bear in mind that, the smaller the quantity, the less cost effective each individual box price becomes due to the tooling origination set up costs. Please note that we cannot supply one-off individual bespoke gift boxes.

Lead times - As you would expect, bespoke gift boxes are made from scratch to your specification. Therefore, the process from initial ideas to actual manufacture of the gift boxes can take up to 4 weeks. The lead time will be dependent on the quantity of gift boxes required and our manufacturer's current workload. Upon receiving an enquiry for custom-made gift boxes, we will liaise with our manufacturer and confirm the current lead time before order placement.

Contents of gift boxes - How heavy is the item to be housed? Board thickness is measured in microns. Generally, bespoke gift boxes are produced from board which is between 800 microns and 2000 microns thick. The size of the box and its contents will dictate the thickness of the board used.

Branding - Would you like a logo or personalised text on the gift boxes? - This can be achieved through foil blocking or printing depending on the number of colours required.

Bespoke Gift Box Inside the gift box - do you require a satin lining or an insert within the gift box to hold its contents in place?

Gift box colour and finish - Depending on the size of the gift boxes, they can either be printed with colour or covered in a paper. Smooth and textured finishes can be achieved through the use of a paper covering whereas printing offers a smooth finish. Matt and gloss finishes are also available.

When contacting us with a bespoke gift box requirement, it is useful to provide the following information:

* Style of gift boxes - e.g. two-piece gift boxes with lift-off lid, gift boxes with a hinged lid, shoulder gift boxes, wrap around or clam shell gift boxes.

* Dimensions of gift boxes

* Lid depth

* Quantity of gift boxes required

* Internal & external colour of gift boxes

* Inserts & Lining - Do the contents of the gift boxes need to be held in place? Depending on the contents, a die-cut card insert, foam insert or satin lining with loose polystyrene beads underneath can be used.

* Date the gift boxes are required

* An indication of the budget allocation. As we receive many requests for quotations for bespoke gift boxes we are aware of the costs involved. We believe in being realistic and setting expectations accordingly. Therefore, when we have an idea of what your budget is, if we feel that we cannot accommodate your requirement, then we will tell you from the outset. This way, we can ensure that we do not take up your time and ours unnecessarily providing quotations that will not fit within your budget.
