There are many options available when considering a bespoke gift box. Flat-packed or rigid gift box? One-piece or two-piece gift box? Printed or unprinted gift box? Lined or unlined gift box? With or without insert? White or coloured? Textured or smooth finish? Matt or gloss finish? There are many choices available and our aim is to fully understand your requirement and work with you to develop your ideas so you obtain the exact gift box you set out to find.

We have included some points you may wish to consider below:

Quantity - The majority of manufacturers will specify a minimum quanitity on orders for bespoke gift boxes. Twinklepeeps works closely with manufacturers who can accommodate orders of smaller quantities depending on the type of gift box required. However, bear in mind that, the smaller the quantity, the less cost effective each individual box price becomes due to the tooling origination set up costs.

Lead times - As you would expect, a bespoke gift box is made from scratch to your specification. Therefore, the process from initial ideas to actual manufacture of the gift box can take up to 4 weeks. The lead time will be dependent on the manufacturer's current workload. Upon receiving an enquiry for a custom-made gift box, we will liaise with the manufacturer and confirm the current lead time before order placement.

Storage space - Do you have enough? Flat-packed gift boxes will require less room than rigid gift boxes.

Gift box contents - How heavy is the item to be housed? Depending on its weight, a rigid gift box may be more suitable. However, robust flat-packed boxes are also available and many do not require any adhesive to secure into place.

Branding - Would you like a logo or personalised text on the gift box? - This can be achieved through foil blocking or printing depending on the number of colours required.

Inside the gift box - do you require a satin lining or an insert within the gift box to hold its contents in place?

Gift box colour and finish - gift boxes can either be printed with a colour or covered in a paper. Smooth and textured finishes can be achieved through the use of a paper covering whereas printing offers a smooth finish. Matt and gloss finishes are also available.

When contacting us with a bespoke gift box requirement, it is useful to provide the following information:

* Dimensions of gift boxes

* Quantity of gift boxes required

* Date the gift boxes are needed

* Style of gift boxes - e.g. rigid (ready made up) or flat-packed

* Colour of gift boxes

* Confirmation as to whether any printing or foil blocking of logo/text is required. Please note that in order for the manufacturer to provide a definitive price for this, they will need sight of the actual logo/text to be included on the gift box and confirmation as to the size required. Please send us a JPEG or PDF file of the logo/text.

* An indication of the budget allocation. As we receive many requests for quotations for bespoke gift boxes we are aware of the costs involved. We believe in being realistic and setting expectations accordingly. Therefore, when we have an idea of what your budget is, if we feel that we cannot accommodate your requirement, then we will tell you from the outset. This way, we can ensure that we do not take up your time and ours unnecessarily providing quotations that will not fit within your budget.
